I'm back :)

These past few days have gone by pretty fast. Matt and I put our stuff in a storage locker downtown. The lady who issued our lockers gave us locks. Then we had to drive to our lockers down the street to put our stuff in. When we first got there we didn't know how to work the locks. What you're supposed to do is stick the lock in the hole and twist the key to the right so the lock stays in and the key is now separated. It seems pretty easy but when Matt put his lock in, it jammed and the key was stuck. We had to call the office to send someone over to help us with our situation. The office ended up sending the manager over and she gave us a tutorial of the process (We actually didn't need one, it turned out that Matt's lock was really old and needed to be replaced). Anyway she stayed with us until we finally opened our lockers. They were pretty dirty with sand, dirt, and a couple cobwebs (ew!) in them. The manager was really embarassed because she said they're supposed to be cleaned out. So she personally found a broom and swept herself. I'm glad Matt had a bad lock or our storage spaces would have been pretty filthy. The actual storing was a chore. We had a ton of stuff so we had to take 3 or 4 trips and the temp that day was a record high of 98 degrees!
After we stored and packed the car, we were ready for our road trip home. We stopped at a Subway for dinner. It was pretty good timing since the weather changed from really hot to really rainy. While were eating, the music in the restaurant changed to a weather alert announcing a tornado 34 miles west of us. I thought that was pretty crazy since if we had left a half hour later we might have seen it! That night we stopped at a Comfort Inn. I watched SNL (Saturday Night Live) and decided to turn it off after a few skits since they were pretty bad.
The next day we drove about 8 hours and finally arrived in Ann Arbor. My parents came by to go out to dinner with us and Matt's parents and we all went out to Real Seafood Co. It was nice to have a good meal after eating fast food for the last couple of days. During the ride home to Troy it rained like it was never going to stop.
I'm very excited to be back in Michigan. If anyone is in town give me a call and we'll hang out!
