Southern Trip

We got back from our trip late Monday. It was a relaxing weekend, but I would've liked nicer weather, being in the South and all. We started off in Dallas and were able to meet up with Krista, Milas, and soon to be Max. The next day we drove to Shreveport (about a 3 hour drive), Louisiana to see Mona and Sujith. Their house was really nice and I got some decorating ideas for our house! We got a tour of the city, including Mona's workplace and the casino riverboats. I always forget how nice everyone is. The waitresses and even Gap workers were so excited to help us. I liked when they said "y'all come back and see us sometime." I almost started saying y'all, but it never really happened. My favorite part of the trip was eating crawfish. It's a dirty job to peel and eat them, but a fun experience.

This weekend we have our final walkthrough of the house and then we close on Tuesday!! I think Steph might be having a going-away party before she leaves for Thailand so that may happen this weekend as well.

Sold!

My party last weekend went very well. Everyone loved the appetizers and flirtinis. Several of my friends brought food too, so there was plenty to eat. We ended up playing outburst and apples to apples, two of my favorite group games. Alas, I forgot to take pictures of my last apartment get together.

This week, we acquired homeowner's insurance, something required at our closing. Because most of the paperwork is done, we assumed our house would have a "sold" sign on it, and it did! We took a few pictures and since photobucket has a slideshow feature, here is the link to our pictures:

Our house has cathedral ceilings so our bungalow looks very unique and spacious inside. Hopefully friends and family can see our furnished, moved-in house by summer/fall.

We're leaving for Texas/Lousiana tomorrow for the long weekend. I'm ready for some nice weather!

Getting ready for my party tonight i.e. cleaning, and cooking. And Matt has a half-day because of Good Friday so I get to see him sooner today, yeah! I'm out.

I feel blah :( I diagnosed myself on webmd.com and I think I either have thrush or GERD because I'm having difficulty swallowing. I haven't eaten in several hours because it feels like something is stuck in my throat. booooo
I'm going to bed so I feel better for work tomorrow.
