Oscar Recap- Best Dressed/Worst Dressed

This is long overdue.

My favorite was Cameron Diaz. I'm not usually a fan of gold sparkles, but it worked. I didn't see her on the red carpet, but I noticed her beautiful dress as she was presenting an award. Here is her Oscar de la Renta gown:

And my runner-up is Kristen Stewart. I am not a fan of hers, but I did love her Monique Lhuillier gown. I also liked her hairstyle- young and fresh, very age-appropriate.

Charlize Theron was the worst dressed. This is a fact.

Teeth and Baby Pancakes

Yesterday, Matt spotted some teeth in Sean's mouth! He had been getting up at night pretty randomly and now we know why! One is poking out more than the other and they are hard to see, but they are sharp to the touch. My baby's gummy smile will be disappearing soon.

I made pancakes for Sean yesterday. I love this website that a few friends recommended. The pancakes were made with barley, oatmeal, formula, whole wheat flour, mashed bananas, egg yolks, and water (for consistency). Sean can now have a few spices so I added cinnamon and vanilla extract. He has not perfected feeding himself, but he really loved the pancakes fed to him in itty-bitty pieces. He is starting to scoff at baby food and always wants table food or chunky things. It's been pretty hard to feed him any second foods lately so I might go up to third foods soon. And I can't wait to feed him Indian food in a few months!

The zoo and park

As soon as it hit 50 a few days ago, a bunch of us hit the zoo with our babies. I haven't been to the Detroit Zoo in ages and it is a lot bigger than I remember. And there have been many updates. Sean's favorite animal was the meerkat. He laughed hysterically when they came up to the glass and ran around right in front of us.

Today, we went to Kristy and Lilly's house in Birmingham. They live in walking distance of a park that has baby bucket swings! Sean loved swinging, although he kept leaning forward instead of sitting. I'm sure he'll get the hang of it soon. Today the high was 66 degrees!!

8 months

Sean is 8 months old! He has been babbling up a storm. It sounds like gibberish, but he acts like he is saying something extremely important! He can creep/crawl backwards and gets stuck when he hits a wall. And today, he was able to pick up a few Gerber puffs off his tray and put them in his mouth! We are going to add yogurt and meat to his diet this month as well.

Sean has so much energy! He wants to play from dawn to dusk. I used to have him lie in bed with me in the mornings after Matt went to work, but now, he rolls and rolls until his face is right in front of mine, begging me to pick him up and play with him! I can never resist the demands of this adorable boy. He has me wrapped around his little finger!

The weather has been turning from winter to spring (finally!). Sean loves going outside and getting fresh air. It's a nice change! When it hits 50, we are heading to the zoo!
