My little roly poly

Sean rolled over to the left from his tummy! Previously, he was just rolling over to the right. He is getting to be a pro at tummy time and lifts his head all the time. I got him on video when he was first starting to roll over a few weeks ago. Now we're on the floor for TT so he can completely roll over.



I can tell he is going to be right handed because his milestones always start on that side. We are working on naps now...

My dream stroller

---Update: We got the stroller!!! It arrives soon. We found $100 worth of babies r us gift cards while cleaning. haha I guess it's easy to lose things when baby stuff takes over the house! ---

I only have a stroller frame (best advice from my sister since we rarely use it and usually carry the car seat around) so I don't really have a stroller yet. The above stroller is compatible with Sean's car seat and once he outgrows that, he can sit in the outward facing part of the stroller. I was looking for a stroller that has great shocks to protect baby's head (Royal Oak sidewalks are very uneven), a fully reclining seat so baby can nap, and a weather shade for all the elements. I also didn't want it to be too big or bulky so I can run errands and lift this in and out of the trunk. Unfortunately the price tag of this all-terrain vehicle is pretty hefty, therefore, I am on ebay this very moment to scour the stroller listings!

Roll over!

Sean rolled over from his tummy to his back this morning! He was just as surprised as I was after it happened. It helped that he was NOT excited about tummy time and was pushing every which way to change his position. I hope we can recreate the moment in the next few days so I can catch it on video!

Disney in February 2010

We decided to go to Disney World with the Hersteins next February. We were planning on taking a European cruise with our little guy next summer, but once we saw how much work it was just to go up north for the weekend, we decided to hold off until Sean is a bit older. And I think Sean can ride any kiddie ride on our laps that don't require a seat belt so Disney will be fun for the whole family! We are staying in the Animal Kingdom Resort for a few nights and then the Boardwalk for the remaining nights. I have only been to the Animal Kingdom Lodge once to eat and am really excited to stay there because the rooms overlook the savanna where there are live giraffes!! I wonder how Sean will react to seeing a giraffe outside his hotel window!

Britney Concert

The Britney concert was last Tuesday and it was one of the best concert performances I have seen. I like how Britney's show is just that - a show. Her singing is secondary and it's the special effects, costumes, and dancing that make it spectacular. Fans don't have to know most of the songs to enjoy the concert, which means you don't have to be a die hard fan. The theme of the concert was a circus just like the name of her album. Throughout the show, there were tightrope walkers, jugglers, clowns, and amazing acrobatics. They found very talented individuals to flip around and balance dozens of hula hoops around their torsos! It made me want to see cirque de soleil or go to the circus. Val, Allysen and I took a bunch of pictures off our phones. I have never downloaded pictures from my phone to my computer so I need to figure that out before I can post them. I turned the internet feature off on my phone so I wouldn't get charged for accessing it so I think I need to find my bluetooth cable that came with the phone. The picture I found online shows the 3 ring circus set-up.

2 months!

We went up to the Herstein condo over Labor Day weekend. Sean celebrated his two month birthday by sleeping in the car on the way up. It was nice to get out of the house and relax. Matt and I were able to golf for a little bit and draft our fantasy football teams.

Sean also went to his first restaurant! No ordinary restaurant would do so we went to the Duck Blind in the Otsego Lodge with Matt's family. What refined taste he has!

Sean just had his 2 month appt. I am glad the shots are over; I was dreading them. Luckily Sean had no idea and just cried a few seconds after each one. He fed right afterward and all was forgotten! He is 11lbs 12oz (50th percentile) and 24 1/4 inches (90th percentile). Long and skinny just like at birth!

Are you ready for some football?

Sean is! He borrowed his dad's shirt to root for Detroit. He will be sporting his own UM onesie this weekend for the Wolverines!



Fall is my favorite season. I love the autumn colors, going to the cider mill for cider and donuts and strolling around downtown on those last warm nights. And this year, Sean can experience his first Michigan fall with us!
