Spinning

I started spinning again, since Bradley was 8 weeks old. I had to wait 6 weeks postpartum to workout because of the c-section. I go once a week and LOVE it. I really wish I could workout more, but this is all I have the time and energy for right now. I am looking into buying cycling shoes because I've heard you can get a more efficient workout and it puts less stress on your feet. These are the two that I have narrowed it down to-

5 months

Bradley is 5 months today! He takes 3 naps still and sleeps through the night (has been since 4 months). I now have to wake him from his 3rd nap so he is sleepy enough to go to sleep before 8pm. I think the 3rd nap may be gone by next month because it is getting shorter and later.

We have no rolling yet. Sean had been rolling by now, but I think Bradley is just too content. He is more laid back and will play on his back or tummy without trying to move too much. He has rolled from side to side and can get to his back from his tummy. I can't wait until he can roll over to his stomach and sleep. Babies always look so cute when they are tummy sleeping. Bradley can sit up for a few seconds and has the biggest smile on his face when he jumps in the jumperoo.

Bradley has matured socially to the point where if he can't see us, he looks around and starts "talking" loudly until we come and play with him. He still loves pat a cake and now recognizes Sean's favorite songs like itsy bitsy spider and the abc song.

Thanksgiving 2011

We celebrated Thanksgiving at the Herstein household in Ann Arbor. Sean asked every day leading up to turkey day if we were going to Grandma and Grandpa's house and I had to tell him in 4 days, or 3 days, etc. When we got to Ann Arbor, Sean was so excited to play with Grandma and the millions of toys they have at the house. I kind of understand why Matt wants to keep his childhood toys now...kind of. If we had a ton of space, and maybe we will someday, it seems like a good idea to keep the good quality things.

Thanksgiving morning, we drove in and were driving home by 5:30pm. It was perfect timing both ways because Brad took his morning nap in the car on the way there, and both boys were exhausted and sleeping in the back on the way home (with Brad taking his afternoon nap at the Hersteins).

We didn't celebrate with my parents because they are in South America! They are visiting Rio and Argentina. I can't wait to see pictures. My brother decided to spent Tgiving with friends, but I was able to see him the day after when he was in town. Mona stayed in Mississippi this year, but is planning to bring her family to Troy after Christmas.

4 months

Brad is over 4 months now! His stats at the doc at his appt were 25 1/2 inches in height and 16 lbs in weight. He is 75th percentile in both so he is very proportionate. Brad is very vocal and loves his play place of hanging toys. He pulls on the links and they almost always break apart from his strength! He is drooling a lot and is obsessed with having something in his mouth at all times. Brad is a very good eater and I never worry if he is eating enough. He wakes up to eat only once at night, if at all. Although he has been waking up a few times at night and going back to sleep within 10 minutes. I assume that will stop as he gets older and is more adjusted to his new schedule after daylight savings time. His favorite activities besides the play place are reading Good Puppy, playing pat-a-cake, standing in his exersacuer while watching Sean play, and getting his diaper changed.

Sean turned 28 months, but I don't keep tabs on his monthly age anymore. It's too hard to remember! I just say he's 2 and when he turns 2.5 in January I'll start saying he's 2 1/2. Sean has outgrown all of his 2T clothes and is in 3T clothes. He is still very tall, but has been putting on weight really well. He is getting much better with having a baby brother and acts well beyond his 2 years. He is very easy going and never has temper tantrums. We reason with him when he doesn't see it our way and he understands and sometimes tries to compromise with us like asking for 3 books instead of 2 before bed. We will have to start potty training soon because Sean is completely ready. Mom is just not sure if she is!

Here is Brad at 3 months and then 4 months. Every time I take a monthly picture he is at least one more "bar" in length. They grow so fast!
